Tion 2011 was fun!
Hello guys!
TION has been taking place in Cologne this weekend and I was there! It’s been a lot of fun and I wanna tell you about my weekend today! For those who don’t know TION: It’s a community event for photographers and photoshoppers initiated by Calvin Hollywood.
I arrived in Cologne at 9am on Saturday and waited for the registration. After I had received my name tag, I had a look around. The event took place at Cologne University and it was like being back at school or university (especially when visiting the loo 
There was loo poetry all over the place ).
After the opening speech by Calvin Hollywood I had a look at the following talk by Eberhard Schuy about still life photography. It’s been interesting!
Most of the day I talked to the people that were not attending the speeches or to the people that were ther representing some company or selling stuff in the hall. That was the perfect part for me! I love talking to nice people and there were so many nice people!
On Saturday evening the event ended in a relaxed get-together and I drank some beer with people I hadn’t seen in a long while! Thanks for that, guys!
Sunday was pretty similar to Saturday except for the fact that the nice people from Tecco – living paper and Epson printed some of my pictures. It was so gorgeous to see my pictures in large prints! 
After a long day and packing together the books with the publisher Addision Wesley (where my book will be published end of this year! ), I went home by train. I was so tired but happy!
So in short: The people are the best thing at TION and it’s been a lot of fun! Everything was well organized and worked fine! Thanks to Calvin and the team for that!
The only thing I really need to criticize is the food: Beer and Coke were warm and the food was breadroles with cheese or ham or some wiener with untoasted toast. But there was a pizza kiosk in front of the university so I had enough to eat and everything was fine

Thanks to Dennis Spohr and Lisa Rossmann for some of the videos! It’s been real fun to be there with you! As I was outside in the hall most of the time, Dennis and Lisa did the videos at the speeches!

your article about Tion 2011 sounds interesting. Too bad, I wasn’t there… But it’s amazing how you managed it to film during the presentations and talked to people that were not attending the presentations at the same time

Thanks for the compliment! And about the video: I didn’t! The videos were taken bei Dennis Spohr and Lisa Rossmann while I was outside. That’s why there is his logo in the video, too
I have to thank those two for helping me out this much!
