Fall Photo Session with Scherin Simo
Hey guys!
Some of you might know the name Scherin Simo because I photographed her in a wedding dress earlier this year (German blog post). This time we wanted to photograph outdoor and capture the colorful fall.
Scherin and I had planned to meet for another photo session for a while 
This time we had no longing to go into the dark and boring studio again. And as the leaves fall outside we thought of an autumnal photo session. And that’s what we did yesterday!
Oh, we were so lucky! I complained a lot about the gray and cold weather outside over the last weeks and now with this session where I definitely needed the sun scheduled, the sun came out and shone with 19°C (~66°F). In addition the sun sometimes vanished behind some light clouds for a while to allow me to use it as a sun swatter Perfect conditions! I love my job! I think that’s how life ought to be
I think it’s time to thank Scherin! Thank you so much! You were gorgeous and did your job perfect! And I had a lot of fun! In addition, I wanna thank Ingo Mohr who decided yesterday around noon to drive 70km (~45miles) each way only to hold my reflector. Thank you so much!
We worked with a California Sunbounce mini and available Light. I wanted to photograph soft and natural photos with an autumnal look. And I wanted fun, so apart from capturing “boring” fashion stuff, I wanted a laughing Scherin as well

What is it with the multitude of pictures I’ve seen lately that shoot into the sun obscuring the subject? Just seems a little to much like camouflage to me.

Don’t get me wrong, the model is beautiful. I wanted to see more of her, especially in the shot by the stream, with hands on hips.

To me the black and white capture more of her presence. I do like the photo’s, just wanted to clarify.
